MSP International Film Festival

The 38th Annual Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival runs April 4-20, 2019, and Longfellow Villa is available for visitors to Minneapolis for the MSPIFF during April. We offer a convenient location for short drives and easy transit access to festival locations. Best of all we offer a quiet, private suite away from the hotel hustle and bustle, so you can relax in-between showings.

As a University of Minnesota student I took Film History classes with MSPIFF founder Al Milgrom and I was a volunteer for the U Film Society, the predecessor for The Film Society of Minneapolis St. Paul. At a young age I experienced the wide range of foreign film styles compared to the Hollywood-dominated genres. I’ve always treasured that experience and return to the annual MSPIFF film fest year after year.

Happily this year, I was able to snag an all-access pass for the film fest as a premium for my annual membership donation to KBEM, Jazz88.fm. So, we’d love to host other MSPIFF film buffs during this year’s festival, and just mention this post for a special 20% discount for MSPIFF attendees.

Opening Night Film Yuli

Yuli is a dazzling dramatization of the early life and work of legendary Cuban dancer Carlos Acosta. Inspired by Acosta’s 2007 memoir No Way Home, which detailed his rise from the streets of Havana to the heights of classical ballet.
